Getting iPhone 3GS

Hello,
I am going to purchase a refurb iPhone 3GS from gamestop. I would like to downgrade it. I hear the apple is still signing 4.1 for pre a4 devices. Can anyone confirm?

Sorry, I can't help with this one as it is something that I haven't done on the 3GS that my daughter now uses, but I am sure with all of the pro Jailbreakers on iMore someone will be able to help you out. Good luck.
