Photo Library deletion?

I was just wondering if there was a way to delete or at least HIDE the photo library folder on my phone...I had organized all of the my phone's pictures into folders by category, then synced them from my computer back to my phone, only to realize that iTunes had created "Photo Library" in addition to all the folders that I created. The fact that it consumes the extra space bothers me, but it also bugs me that there are duplicates of everything I synced to their own albums. Anyone know of a way to delete the folder and keep the ones I put there myself? Or even just hide that specific one?

Not possible...think of it this way:

Photo Library=iTunes Library
Synced Folders=iTunes Playlists

If it makes you feel better, I don't think you actually have a second copy of each photo, just two different ways of viewing them (again, like iTunes playlists).

Yeah...I did some more searching and someone had explained that it's not a second copy, simply a second display of all pictures in the albums...but the fact that it's visible still bothers me.
