I've used Bluetooth on two different cell phones (not iPhone) to transfer photos to my Lion iMac.

Since it worked just fine, I thought I'd try doing the same Bluetooth transfer using my 3GS iPhone. No luck!!

What's the story, can't you use Bluetooth to transfer photos or other types of files?

Greatly appreciate any help or suggestions regarding Bluetooth.

Well there is an issue with the bluetooth of Apple device, they always have some problem when connecting to the bluetooth device of other companies, so either you should stay limited to an apple to apple bluetooth or you should use an alternate for the transfer of application.

You cannot transfer files via Bluetooth on an iPhone. Limitation of iOS.

That being said, there are plenty of workarounds. For what you want, I recommend PhotoSync.
