As the title states, is this possible on a jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 3Gs on T-Mobile?

Not possible. The chipset in the 3GS uses a different 3G frequency than what t-mobile uses and it cannot be altered. Sorry.

You can use it on Tmobile but with EDGE only. As stated above the iPhone's radio does not support Tmobile's 3G bands/frequency.

As others have said, 3G will not work on T-Mobile with your iPhone 3GS. However, if you are in an area of WiFi most of the time you can always stick to using that for your data connection. I have a old 3GS as well using a T-Mobile To Go prepaid SIM card and mostly use WiFi for data when I am not using my iPhone 4.

Luckily T-Mobile's Edge network isn't too bad, but you will never get 3G to work on T-Mobile, the hardware simply doesn't support it.

Guess, it should work with 3GS, 3G, and 4G iPhones.

No, 3G will never work with any iPhone on T-Mobiles network for reasons stated above.
