    Hi Guys,

I was in the process of prepping my phone for re-sale (jailbroken 3.1.2) and after I went into

Settings | General | Erase | Erase all Data and Settings

my phone rebooted and it sits on the black screen with the white apple on it. That's it.

    What is my recourse? Thanks!

    Still nothing.

Is my next step to restore the phone through Itunes?

Itunes isn't recognizing the device. Perhaps cause it's not fully booted?

    Hi Riddy,

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I put the phone into DFU mode?

What I'm seeing now is just the white apple and black screen, after several times of holding the top button and home button to reboot.

Itunes doesn't currently recognize the phone, so can't restore.

honestly, restoring in iTunes would have been my FIRST step. I have had too many issues with erasing via the iPhone itself

That's good to know for next time, but any helpful ideas to get my phone back into an operational state?

I have rebooted the phone several times just to have the phone sit in the screen with the apple and black background.

for whatever reason, my Itunes library is not recognizing the device.
