Dear friends, I am in deep trouble. Please provide any valuable suggestions. I have an iphone 3G that I bought a year and half ago. It was on old bootroom and 3.1.3; jailbroken, unlocked and working perfectly.Yesterday, I left it connected to my PC and stepped aside meanwhile a message had popped on screen asking for update. My brother using the comp hit "update" since that's what most people normally do.
Now I am stuck on the emergency screen logo. I have no idea what ios my phone is updated to and what baseband it has now. I cannot google and find a solution since I dont know what version of ios did itunes update my 3G to. Please suggest what I should do? I will be very grateful for any help. Thanks a million for your time.

Just search the 3g is able to be put back to ANY firmware up to 3.1.3 at any time. Just restore with the firmware you want and the reinstall the blacksnow from Cydia to get unlock back. If you was on 3.1.3 then the only update was for 3.1.3 nothing higher without a custom firm can be put on it from there. Good luck and it is not broken and can be easily fixed.

Just download iOS 3.1.3 to your computer. Hook your phone up hit shift restore and open 3.1.3 and let itunes reload it to your phone then rejailbreak, then unlock with blacksnow in Cydia.

verify with f0recast from ih8sn0w what version your iphone is, probably 4.2.1, you can jailbreak it with redsn0w 0.9.6b9 .To be able to unlock it you need to update the baseband. Let me know if it worked
