Does Apple Still Replace The iPhone 2G?

I just found out that it only costs $149 to have it repaired, would they repair it or replace it? Its water damaged, dented, scratched, and has a malfunctioning LCD and home button

Well, apparently you can still get it serviced if you're in California:

I remember awhile back somebody had a brand new 2g unopened in box and it sold for over 10k on eBay

Not sure how that could happen. Apple used to not let you out of the store without it being activated. That was a huge issue on launch day - incredible delays at the Apple store.

I know I can't sell mine for 10k but I do see a few people still using the 2g (older people) but still great device

Honestly I'd still use it if I could update the OS to work with apps now without totally bogging it down bc of the limited memory and processor. Wouldn't have to worry about buying a case and just roll naked

I have a 3G and a 3GS as well as a 4 just sitting in my "museum" along side my still working first generation Apple TV and iPad (original) and a bunch of old iPods (including the U2 and a 5GB first gen). A close friend of mine has two PowerBooks (160 and 190cs) and a Macintosh 128K.
