I switched from my pro to the mini and the screen does not seem as bright as the pro is there a difference between the two?

Pro Display are ltpo. The Pro Display is brighter has a higher resolution and is capable of 120fps.

That’s good information from FFR, spec info that will make a viewing difference that can be interpreted by the human eye in several ways. To give scale to the difference, Pro typical screen viewing will be 25% brighter than Mini (800 Nits mini vs 1000 Nits for Pro). However, if you’re are watching HDR (or possibly in extreme conditions such as outside in bright sunlight), in theory both models will be the same 1200 nits brightness. But that gets back to the display upgrades mentioned by FFR and the effect that it may have on the image (and how the human eye may interpret it).

I literally just switched today, 12 Pro to the 13 Mini. I’ve been using the mini for about 2 hours straight now, really giving the battery a work out. As far as the screen goes, I don’t really notice the difference. I probably would of I held my 12 Pro and mini side by side, but I don’t feel it would really be an issue for me. I switched to the mini for more convenience ie. smaller, lighter & easier to handle.
