Iphone 12 Pro Max used since release day was at 100% until Feb or so.
    Now at 95%.
Seems to be dropping faster since installing iOS 15 Developer Beta.

My Battery Health remains at 100%. I have an iPhone 12 Pro, which I foot in mid-January. I’m currently on iOS 14.6.

I noticed mine is similar to yours, but I haven't associated with the installation of the iOS 15 betas. Still, I'll keep an eye out to see if it drops lower.

It's natural. when any app has installed in iPhone then battery health decreases automatically.

Installing an App should definitely not degrade the battery health!

I am not in agreement with this statement because if that were true, the battery's health wouldn't be at 100% upon receiving our devices.

That’s true… and if it were, the Battery Health would take a huge hit when we reinstall all of our preferred Apps.

That’s not actually true. However, without any apps on the phone, it is a brick.

Let’s not forget forget that iOS is an app (this is grossly simplified), specialized yes, but an app nonetheless.

It’s not the app that will degrade the battery but using the device itself.

My launch day 12 Pro Max is at 96%. I’m still on iOS 14.1as my iPhone is jailbroken and I made the sacrifice to miss out on the iOS 14 features after 14.1, to be able to customize my device to my liking. I heavily use my iPhone every day and am at 20-30% by the time I get home from work 12 hours later. At this rate, I’ll probably need a battery change before my 2 years are up.

My 8 month old 12 Pro Max is at 92%. It has steadily declined about 1% per month since it was new. My 11 Pro Max stayed at 100% for 10 months then dropped to 99% for a few months before I traded it back to ATT for the 12 P.M.

I think Apple used cheaper batteries in the 12 series vs the 11. Or maybe they used whatever they could get in 2020.

It’s sounds a lot more like the latter. Or it really could be the luck of the draw, it’s not an exact science to predict how a battery will behave in the long term.

I'm not on the beta. I got my 12 Pro Max on release day last October. 10 months ago. The battery is still at 100% battery health. And I'm a heavy user, as I don't have an iPad or a computer.

That sounds like my 11 PM last year. The 12 PM hasn’t been very good for me.

I’m beginning to think my Battery Health just isn’t accurate. I’ve treated this battery better than any iPhone battery I’ve ever owned. I don’t top it off and I don’t let it drop below 60%. I keep it between 60 and 80 all the time. I never leave it on a charger over night. It still keeps on dropping.

No clue. I usually put mine on to charge when it gets to 20%, and charge it to 100%. Sometimes I leave it on the charger a while, after it reaches 100%. I also put it on the charger when I'm doing anything I know is battery intensive, like updating the OS and apps. When it's on the charger, it's not using the phone's battery.

I am generally on a beta build year round and, like you, I’ve had my iPhone 12 Pro since launch, yet, my max battery life is currently at 94%.

Thank you, yes, I am on the exact same boat. Support wanted to blame the beta. I continue to lose about 1% battery health every 2-3 weeks at this point since jumping on the beta. I'm going to get on the official release ASAP and get a battery replacement

Yep. I went to my local Apple Store last week and asked for a battery replacement on me. They diagnosed the phone and suggested all kinds of hacks to make the battery last longer like turning off Background App Refresh and running Low Power Mode all the time.

He also told me they didn’t even have any 12 PM batteries since the phone is a new model.

Overall I was very disappointed with the service I received.

I’ve decided to just quit worrying about it and get a 13 or 12s when they are available in Sept or Oct.
