Who’s loving their 12 mini? I think it’s the best iPhone yet with its unique size and shape. It took a while to get use to but now it’s like I never left my iPhone 5.

I like it a lot. Granted, I carry it for a third line that I have so it's not a "daily driver" for me. I did use it as my main device for this first week I got it just because and it was really nice.

I really like the 12 mini, it’s my personal daily driver and it’s everything I need in a phone. I have other devices at my disposal that I use daily as well. My iPad mini 5 being one of them. Coming from a pixel 3 I wanted a smaller phone and Apple just delivered with mini. I hope they keep the line going. It’s a very niche product but I think Apple got some sales they wouldn’t have gotten if the mini wasn’t released. Just my opinion.

I’m glad you are happy with your mini! I know that a lot of people have been excited about it. I think sales would have been even better had Apple not released the SE earlier in the year.

I like it, and there is nothing that I can't do with it that I normally do with phones.
One exception: I'm trying to migrate from Evernote to Apple Notes. The notes that I created in E come across with a tiny font on Notes on the mini. I can barely read them. I can, on the (regular) 12. So I'm still undecided. In general, I prefer the small form factor of the mini, but if I can't read some of my notes.....

Told two of my long time clients who where looking for a smaller device about the new Mini and they both ended up buying one and one even bought 12 for his engineering group and said they love the smaller forum factor.

Agreed. I was going to get one, but $779 for 128GB is ridiculous. It should be the same price as the SE 2.

Seriously? It’s a smaller version of the 12 with exactly the same specs, and $100 cheaper!

The SE 2020 is a great phone, but nowhere near the spec level of the 12 mini. Not even close, hence the price difference.

I recently purchased a 12 mini in place of my 12 pro (which I'm selling). I like the size a lot better. Before that I had an iPhone X. I couldn't get over the phone getting any bigger. Just need a nice rugged battery case now. I love this thing so far.

The only concern I have is that it may have too little battery for my usage but everything else should be fine.

    Of course this is possible.
However, when having to quickly check notes, it is cumbersome to first fiddle with the font to make it readable, in particular in case of mixed data types like text, tables, maybe drawings etc., which sometimes corrupts layouts and makes it even harder to read.
So, on the mini, I can't read converted Evernote-pages as they are, without messing around. On the 12, I can read them as they are.
Unfortunately, there is no option to "bulk-edit" these notes to eg. change the font globally. This would not solve the layout issues, but would help for a start. Not gonna happen though.
But to be clear, this is not a huge problem. I still like the mini a lot.

Had mine since launch. On the fence. Love the size and a ne-handabillity... But my eyes must be getting bad

Went to apple to store to ask if my 12 mini can be traded in for a different size 12 and they said no.

Guess I’ll wait for the 13. I just increased the font size in settings by one notch to tie my over.

I go between a note 20 and the mini. I actually fine it easy not a big deal some are complaining about the size but not me.
I am actually having sms issues with my note so I am depending on the mini that has no issues.

I don’t have a max but I have a XR for work I use daily along side my 12 mini for personal use. The XR has become so bulky to hold and carry around with me. But it’s a great phone for work purposes because the battery life and big screen for emails/web conferences is second to none.

IMO I don’t think the mini is good fit for watching content. The screen size will be annoying with trying to see some details in a movie. The camera tho is outstanding.

I honestly would recommend the 12 pro for you. It’s a smaller design than the Max but still big enough screen for more detail use cases.

I’ve had an iPhone 8 for a couple of years now, because I love the size. Downsized from a 6S Plus. Battery life on the 8 is starting to fade, and I had all intentions of replacing it with the SE. My wife got one a few months ago, and I just got another for my daughter last week, and was about to get SE#3 when I caught sight of the 12 Mini. I wasn’t too crazy about the edge-to-edge screen and no more home button that I’m going to have to learn how to live without, but its overall dimensions are actually smaller than the SE, better processor, and 5G all kinda said maybe this is the way I should go. Just ordered it a little while ago, so yet another learning curve coming up, and a likely fight with the job’s garbage 2-factor-authentication system to look forward to. Time to start cracking the how-to sites!

Mini came today. Restore from the old phone was a breeze (I only had 20 GB to transfer), only minor glitch was the PHONE itself didn’t activate, so I had to call AT&T, which I don’t recall having to do with other phone upgrades. MFA switchover from work needed a chat with tech support to deactivate the old phone and add this one, also no big deal, other than my help desk being slow as hell. Then it was just a matter of logging into apps that used Touch ID and enable Face ID on them - piece of cake. Using the gestures that replace the Home button is going to take a little getting used to, but I don’t see that as being anywhere near the problem I feared when I thought my next phone would be the SE.

The size is absolutely perfect, display is gorgeous, and everything is just quick. To think I wasn’t looking for this phone, I didn’t even know it existed until a few days ago when I just happened to see it in my upgrade options. Last time I had checked, the SE was the only newer phone that was the size I wanted, and everything else was too big. I don’t recall seeing the Mini when we upgraded my wife’s 8 Plus a few months ago, so I’m glad I caught it when I was looking for myself. Perhaps the popularity of the SE informed Apple that there is indeed a market for a smaller form factor and not everybody wants to walk around with a billboard in their pocket. Anyway, I’m tickled with this thing after just two hours.
