Thank you. So who WILL see a difference and what will they be doing? If you or anyone can be specific using on-device experience, I'd appreciate it.

All I can tell you is the iPhone 12 Pro is fast and I’ve not encountered any stutters or any apps/pages being hesitant to load.

I do see a difference between 3 and 6 GB ram, but that was to be expected, coming from a 4 year old phone.

I don’t think we’ll see a difference between 4GB and 6GB unless you just have and keep gazillion apps open and I don’t think most people keep that many (20-30?) apps open but perhaps they do. iOS is very different than Android in this way.

I think the extra RAM is mainly for the camera.

As with others out there, I think the new 12 Pro is fast and I haven’t seen any lag running the apps I use on a daily basis. I am liking the device.

    Yes, and the homescreen widgets.

I have 243 apps. There's 91 sitting in my app switcher. Most apps in the app switcher do nothing but sit there. They're not using RAM. iOS is different from Android in that iOS doesn't need as much RAM as Android to do the same things.

91 in your app switcher. Ha! I need to stop being concerned about closing apps! I guess the 6GB of RAM in iOS is close to what 12-16GB is in Android. Regardless, my X, 10XS Max, 11 Pro Max, and now 12 Pro Maxes have all been extremely smooth performing.

    Closing apps is overrated.
I only close navigation apps, but I’m not sure if even that is necessary. Just an old habit of mine.

Very few apps actually run in the background. Many do, but only briefly. A few tend to misbehave. And some need to, so they will perform as you want them to. Mostly, I don't bother with swiping them out.

Don’t bother. Nothing much will change.
Closing apps after every use will make you charge your phone a little sooner than if you don’t close apps, but that’s it.

There are days that I don’t close apps and some days that I close all apps very often. It’s weird, but that’s okay. It’s just how I feel at that moment.

I don’t ever worry about battery life, because I can charge my phone whenever, wherever I want.

Apple manages their running apps much different than android does so they don't require a lot of ram. This is where apples control proves to work for everyone.

I clear all apps and webpages almost every day, it’s a habit I have had since the 4, although it is not needed so much now I sometimes notice an app opening slowly or my kindle app taking a while to change functions, clearing everything out stops that, so I still do it.

You won’t notice the RAM on iPhones. They are are not designed to be multitasking power house devices like Android. It’s a more simplified experience.
