Did you choose the pro or just the 12?

I went with the Pro, the biggest single reason is for the 6 GB of RAM, and the extra camera is nice to have. I also, since I sometimes like to play with photos, think I'll like having the ProRAW format.

Iphone 12. I have lidar on my iPad pro and 1T of storage. There was no real reason to get the pro model.

I originally purchased the non-Pro model but decided to return it and wait for the 12 mini. I loved everything about the 12 except for the size of it so November 13th can't come soon enough. I'm stoked that there's an iPhone that's even smaller than my 2020 iPhone SE.

I went with the 12 Pro for the telephoto lens mainly. Since my phone is my only camera and I use the telephoto lens the most I went it.

I am the only person that would rather have a telephoto lens over an ultra wide? That is the only reason I went pro. I’d much prefer to zoom in than out.

Having kids I would much prefer the zoom in, but at 2x zoom it's not even that useful and the quality isn't as good as physically walking closer with the main wide lens. The ultra wide for me really is just used for landscapes in my opinion so to answer your question, yes I'd rather have the telephoto but at a higher zoom rate
