ringtone for individual contact

I have an iPhone 11 running iOS 13.7 (17H35). I would like to create a custom ring tone for one of my contacts from a song in my iTunes library. If this is possible, I’d really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to do it. I have already created the song fragment and saved it to my Desktop (Windows 10 updated) as a “m4r” file but can’t figure out how to get it onto my iPhone as a Tone. I’m retired and not terribly tech-savvy, but I can follow directions. Thanks, John S.

Do you have iTunes on your PC? From memory, put the file in your iTunes library, click on the file inside the library and it should transfer to your ringtones. Plug your phone in to the PC, bring up the summary, go to ringtones, put a check on the new tone and then hit “apply.”
