    Hello
I have been a android user my entire life but sadly The company that I normally buy from when I'm wanting to upgrade ( Google) we...arent really seeing eye to eye this year around. I'm pretty open minded and definitely not loyal to just one side so figured I would give Apple a try. I have a iPhone 11 pro max and a apple watch coming Tuesday. ( first time with both!)

I am wondering if there is a easy way for me to transfer my data from my pixel 2 XL to my pro max? And also hoping some other android people that have switched can recommend some more "must haves" apps?

I see there is a callhero assistant app sort of like the screen calling app for pixels. I think that will be the first one I try and also the Google suite of course.

It’s pretty amazing. I’ve used iPhones since the 6 plus. But have always had the latest Samsung mixed in. Most of them didn’t make it past 2 weeks lol. Some made it a few months but then I would miss the consistency of apple and the updates that came to fix things. The Apple Watch has probably the best WiFi/Bluetooth switch over. It seemingly switch’s to WiFi when your out of Bluetooth range with no real lag. My galaxy watch had a hard time switching from Bluetooth to WiFi.

Hey there!! Welcome to the  side!

What  watch did you end up going with?!

I have had an  watch since the first one 4 years ago and I can’t see myself switching to Android as there is no equal competitor or one that can even come close on the android side for smartwatches.

My first ever smart phone was an android phone. I had the Samsung S2, then the S4. My S4 had charger port issues so I got a 5C. Then I got a 6+ and a S7e. Since then I’ve only had iOS phones- 8+, Xs Max and 11 pro but my tablet is a tab S4. I like different things about android and iOS but for my phone I prefer iOS. The two things I love about iOS more than android is speedy updates (my Samsung galaxy you had to wait for an update to be released for your specific device) and the Apple care which is truly out of this world. I hope you enjoy your new phone and welcome to the forum

I use both devices so you won't have any issues transferring your important data as all the Google Apps can be found on iOS. You can continue to use Google Photos for all your Photo and Video backups and when you sync your gmail account in the iPhone settings your contacts can sync over and you can also set your gmail account as your primary contacts sync so any new contacts will still sync to your gmail account. Same goes for Calendar too. You can either use the native Email app to manage your emails or just use the Gmail app. I personally use the Gmail app because it handles Gmail calendar invites seamlessly.
