Did anyone else expect night mode to be this good with the new iPhone 11 Pro?

It’s not a secret that the cameras on iPhone 11 & 11 Pros are some of the best , if not the best, on any smartphone. That’s been said , I wasn’t expecting the night mode to be THIS good !
Below are a few I took this evening .

This if from my backyard last night. Near darkness with the exception from a porch light from the neighbor. Looking to the west at 8pm. 10 second handheld exposure.

How did you get 10 seconds? The most I’ve seen mine go to is 4 seconds.

It depends on how much light is available. It was pretty dark in my back yard. Also it depends on how shaky your hands are. If it’s moving around too much it will limit the time to help avoid motion blur. I could have done a 30 second exposure for this shot if I had my tripod set up.

I am honestly blown away with how good Night mode is. Using a tripod and a long exposure, i've got some great shots.

But I did break my tripod, so now I need a new one.

I asked the same question earlier. He told me the darker it is the longer it will default. So I put it on the tripod to take some moon and star shots and it defaulted to 40 seconds. I live in the mountains so it’s super dark out
