Has anyone tried this case yet?

I just got the ship confirmation for these two cases and I did not know that they were coming directly from China, but they are! Now I’m scared to even open them!! How do I know if it’s safe from the coronavirus?? The CDC says that it is highly unlikely for the virus to be still on packages after several days. I think I’m going to spray the outside of the packages with Lysol and then leave them sit for a week or so before I open them!

What do you think? Am I crazy??

Seems you might be on the right track assuming anyone contaminated was in contact with it. Apparently it can live up to 9 days (or longer depending on conditions) vs something like a flu virus. Looks like wiping it down with a disinfectant will take care of it pretty quickly though https://www.livescience.com/how-long-coronavirus-last-surfaces.html
