Hi, I would be grateful of some advice. I have
Replaced the battery and the digi screen on
an iPad 2 with partial success. I have not yet removed the cover from the adhesive strip around the touch screen as I advised on the video to test first. The battery charged fully but the screen only comes on when I plug then unplug the charger cable, the screen comes on as normal for 10 seconds or so then goes black. The power on button and connectors all look ok but the power button doesn’t work. Any pointers appreciated.
Kind regards
Andy

Apple products can be quite finicky when it comes to repairs. If it’s not done to perfection, something fails to function properly. With that being said, hopefully someone who has repaired an iPad 2 before will offer suggestions / advice. In the meantime, consider purchasing a newer iPad model.

Thank you for your reply. I am buying a new iPad any way for my wife, I have the iPad Air. I just enjoy trying to repair things, I successfully changed the battery in my iPhone 6 recently and probably got over confident of the back of that achievement.
