    ipad won't stay in mail or web very long

    Welcome to iMore! Are you saying that Safari and Mail are force closing and going to your home screen? First thing to try is resetting your device by holding the power button and home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo. If that doesn't work then you might want to run a restore.
