- [ ] OLED display screen
- [ ] 3D Touch

- [ ] True multitasking in background for at least 1 App

- Better/bigger battery

I'm really not in the market for an iPad, but I'd be tempted if the specs were in the realm of the iPad Pro. I'd prefer the following:

1. 3D Touch
2. 4 GB RAM
3. Apple Pen compatible

- if not a better/easier way for 3rd party stylus implementation.
- quick charging
- keep the iPad case as an option, not like iPad mini 4 which separate into cover and body and charge double.

Yes, more RAM and 256 G would be nice, just wonder how much it will reflect in the price...

If I can get only one wish I'd prefered the RAM upgrade more!

The rumours are stronger on these specs:
-A9x processor
-Display 2K
-4 Speakers !
-More RAM (3 or 4 GB)
-Back camera with flash !

But weaker on those:
-No 3D Touch...
-No OLED or 4K display
-

They might let the iPad Pro 2 to have 3D Touch first.

I think 2K or 4K is meaningless other than consuming more power... which to me is a negative.

The resolution right now on are more than good enough for most users, and I'd prefer other function (Pencil support, 3D touch) than keep pushing the resolution.

I agree, the actual resolution is quite good !
So Keep the resolution but give us good anti glare for better readability outside in daylight.

I think your first point demonstrates that you, like millions more, want ever faster specifications for bragging rights alone. If the A8x is fast enough to do everything you can muster with almost no slowdown, the A9x is superfluous and wanting the hypothesised A10x proves my point.

Incremental upgrades are of course important, otherwise the current hardware would have outdated components, but unless there's a use, alone, it hardly seems like a worthwhile upgrade. If it coincides with an increase in ram to aid split screen performance and perhaps an OLED screen I'd be interested, but the Air 2 is still more than capable of all apps currently available.
