I can no longer send SMS messages from my iPad 4

i have bees sending SMS messages to someone on my iPad 4 forever, suddenly I can neither send nor receive SMS messages. How do I fix this?

Redo the continuity setup using both you iPhone and your iPad. Make sure the two devices are sharing the same network to re set it up.
