Is is possible to email photos from an iPad to an Android Tablet?

Emailing photos from Ipad to Android Tablet

I have tried sending photos by email to my friend's android tablet, but she says she sees nothing. She has a Uluru Tablet. It wasn't expensive but we have skyped using my ipad and her tablet.

Isn't it possible to do this?

What type of email are you using because some will come thru and require the recipient to download the images
