Stuck on apple screen

So last night my wife plugged her iPad up, as she does every night. Then, this morning when she woke up she went to turn it on and it would stay on the apple screen. What can I do?

Try a hard reset hold power and home until it resets ..

If no go then hook to iTunes and restore

Unfortunately I had to restore.

OK so i restored the device and it is still doing the same thing. What should I do? Sounds dumb but never been in this situation.
