Hello, I have an iPad 2 running a jailbroken 5.0.1 firmware. I have been jailbroken for many months now and have never had any problems. However, today I was checking my E-Mail on my iPad and it froze. I did a hard reset by holding the home and power buttons at the same time and now it's stuck in a boot loop. I have tried holding the volume up key but it has no effect. I really don't want to restore as my sync is on my old broken laptop and my new laptop has no backup of it. Is there any way to get the iPad out of a boot loop. It's been on the apple logo for an hour now.

I think you are going to have to restore.

Do you not have an iCloud backup? Maybe you can use tiny umbrella(search it on google) and use enter recovery and them exit recovery. It might works.

Thanks for your help guys, I ended up restoring anyway. I stupidly didn't setup iCloud. I guess I learn the hard way to ALWAYS backup.

Fortunately it's a lesson you only need to learn once! We've ALL been there!
