iPad Download Speed Horrific

I noticed that my New iPad wouldn't even play a hulu TV show. So I ran a speedtest.net and found the WiFi download speed at about 2.5 Mbps. I had an ad blocker installed and deleted it. After that, the speed test went to 12 Mbps. It was enough to play hulu shows, but my 4S download speed on the same network smokes out my iPad at 26 Mbps. Any suggestions or theories as to why this is happening?

The problem seems to be a conflict between the 4G network processing multiple signals screwing up it's WiFi signal. Those who have a WiFi only iPad have no problems, so just turn off 4G when you get home. Personally I'd leave it on at Starbucks, since their ATT networks are notoriously slow and isn't worth using in the first place.
