Anyone ever have their iPad 2 just start doing random things on its own?

Mine every now and again will do all kinds of things. Like it just did this:

open mail and started a new email. typed several letters and then closed
opened facebook, went through the news feed
opened photos and randomly opened different folders swiping through photos, zooming in and out

Only way to get it to quit is to shut it down.

Was hoping ios5 would correct my issue, but still got the same issue.

Is your screen typically clean or dirty when this happens? Any moisture? Sometimes moisture can cause capacitive screens to do wonky things. Typically something like that wouldn't be software related IMO, though you could always perform a DFU restore to be on the safe side. I would probably take it to the Genius Bar though so they can run a diagnostic and possibly swap it out for you.

Kikideath,

Must be the screen protector. I have a Moshi screen protector on it. I had to swap out my iPad as I was having some Internet issues on it. I had the same issue on the previous iPad 2 as I have on this one. Both had the Moshi screen protector.

Like I said you could try a DFU restore but I'm not confident your issues are software related. Probably hardware, I'd take it in.
