iPad 3G

I'm thinking of picking up an iPad next week. I just need to understand how the 3G works. Do I have to add it to my verizon account, and does it go off my data plan that I already have? Or do I need a separate data plan for the iPad?

It's a separate plan that does not have a contract. You get charged the monthly fee for it, but can cancel at anytime.
