how do I delete multiple emails without displaying message body

Hi

How can I delete multiple emails without having each email displayed.

I can delete individual emails by swiping across the email in the list and then pressing delete.

I can choose edit and select several emails for deletion and then press delete(xx). Using this method shows each email as I tag it for deletion. I don't need to read or have spam emails displayed, I'd just like to be able to tag,tag,tag etc. then press delete.

Your message do not say what device and what OS version. In iPad2 (iOS 4.3.3) I have you can indicate all messages without opening them (EDIT) and press DELETE in list view.
