is there a way i can VNC to an ipad remotly

i know i can VNC/teamview from my ipad to a mac. but if i needed to do the opposite is that possible.

I'm not sure about a jailbroken device, but this is not possible on a non-jailbroken device. The vnc server would have to remain on and if you closed the vnc server app, the connection would be lost.
