Ipad 1gen maps app navigation

Does the stock maps app give turn by turn navigation? if not what is the best free app for that

No no turn by turn. I dont know a good cheap or free one but Navigon has done wonders for me. It's $50

Navigon is better than TomTom imho, but not aware of anything TbT for free.
Google Maps of course gives you nice simple route planner and will track your journey on screen using the GPS.

well that sucks, its not that big of a deal on ipad but come on if google can do it for their phones why cant they do it on the ipad...

all those other navigation app dont do it right, google is deff the best at giving turn by turn because of the search capabilities WHILE in route, This sucks!!
