Ipad screen protector on Ipad 2

Hey, silly question but if the Ipad2 is the same dimensions as the 1stgen, is it safe to order those see thru screen protectors from amazon?
Wanna have some scratch protection ready for when I pick up my ipad2 on Friday.

Actually in hindsight, probably not because of the new front facing camera.

If you take the screen shield and punch a hole in it where the camera is it should be fine. Use a sharp hole punch and it should cut nice and clean.

Good idea. So do you think a screen protector and the smart cover work hand in hand?
Ive always had a see thru protector on my iphone to avoid nail scratches. Whereas the smart cover seems specific for storage more than anything.

I use screen protectors not to actually protect the screen but to lessen the amount of fingerprints. The smartcover will provide protection and will work fine with a screen shield.

I just ordered a Gelaskin for the back of my iPad2 so I can keep the back protected while still using the smartcover.
