USB hub that charges iPad

I've scoured the net and am amazed at how little I've found regarding charging the iPad 1 or 2 from a USB hub.

I have a 15" MBP and ideally would like to have a USB hub connected to it that I can run everything off of, including charging the iPad 2.

can anyone make an recommendations? I bought a 4 port belkin hub at best buy and despite it also having a power source it does not charge the ipad.

any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I looked too - was unable to find a hub that would supply sufficient amperage to charge an iPad. What I do with my MacBook Pro is put everything I can on a hub, and leave a port free on the MBP for my iPad & iPhone as needed for syncing, and charge off the supplied charger.

that's what I'm doing now, but I'd rather route everything through the hub

they make hubs that have power adapters but that is the ONLY way a hub can charge it.
