Oh, boy... here we go with lots of questions about how the 3G service for the iPad works:

So how does it work? It does not require a contract, but does it auto-renew unless you cancel?

Is a "month" a calendar month or 30 consecutive days?

How is the billing done? Can it be added onto your wireless account?

Can I activate/deactivate from the iPad itself? From an AT&T store? Over the phone?

I still have unlimited data on my phone plan, can I get unlimited data on the iPad under some grandfather clause?

It will infect auto renew if you don't cancel. You can start it back up any time you want, right from the device.

I believe it's billed in a month calendar but I might be wrong. I never paid attention to be honest. I usually pay for a month, and skip a month...

There is post paid (you will get a monthly bill in the mail) and then there is pre-paid (no bill in mail, just direct debit from your CC)

See above. You can hop right into settings and view your account from the iPad. Very handy.
