Stupid question about magazine subscriptions

Hi iPad owners--

I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a Nook Color or an iPad. I have an iPhone and a laptop already so an iPad might be overkill. Anyway, I want to compare the magazine availability and prices for both devices before I decide. I feel like a dope but I can't seem to figure out where the magazine selection is for the iPad. Is it in the app store or itunes or what? I can't seem to find a "magazine" category and I feel like an idiot.

If you want more "interactive" magazines, then get the iPad. There is a fair amount on the app store. if you just want an good old magazine with no interactive content then get the nook. I'm not sure what the stats are there, but i'm sure its around the same amount as apple.
