Signing up for data plan, assigned a phone number?

Well. Signed up for the unlimited data plan and got an email confirmation. Seems the account number is in the format of a phone number. Interesting. I'm not near a phone right now otherwise I would call it. I'll test it out soon.

Yup, I got the same thing. Glad I got the unlimited plan...I have already used 250 in one day lol

Phone numbers are just circuit ID's.
Just like dry loop DSL, the circuit is not connected to a switch that supplies dial tone, it's data only.

I know, it seems like a lot, but a few movies, net, browsing, iTunes store, etc...it adds up really quickly.

And actually less than a day...I got it running at 6ish and by 1am I cecked it, and it was 240...

Ya I called it and it said I wasn't accepting calls. Vlennert, I am close to the 250 too. Only I am using the unlimited plan. I knew 250 wouldn't feed my iPad hunger.

Pretty pitiful that AT&T even offered the 250 option when we can use it up in less than 24 hours..lol

I think the more pitiful thing is AT&T is charging $15 for 250 and for an extra $15 you get unlimited? 250 should be like $5 or so especially if you have an iPhone data plan already!
