Is anyone else impressed with the speed of the new iPad Pro?

My new 2020 12.9-inch iPad Pro arrived today and the first thing I noticed was the speed. My original 9.7-inch iPad Pro is no slouch, but the speed of this one is ridiculously fast. This will indeed be a keeper. Well done, Apple.

I came from the original 12.9 pro and yes the speed was a nice upgrade. Being in real estate I’m loving the camera as well.

I’m still at work right now, but I will indeed experiment with the camera a bit later. I assume it’s similar to the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. FaceID is very fast on this thing too.

I’ve had the iPad 2, the original iPad Mini, and the original 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and although I enjoyed having them, they never really became an integral part of my computing/tablet needs. The 9.7’’ did get close, however. With that being said, my 2020 12.9-inch iPad Pro sure has. It’s blazing speed, size and iPadOS has made this thing awesome, in my opinion. Seriously, I am really enjoying it and I’m anxious to see what iPadOS 14 brings to enhance the experience.

Doesn’t surprise me. I use a previous generation 12.9” Face ID, USB C iPad Pro, and it runs like a scalded rabbit. I don’t see a reason to. Heck, I still use ani Phone 8+.

I’m waiting for them to ditch lightning and go with USB C across the board.

If you're coming from a 9.7 to a new 12.9 and it's so much faster, that's the "Pro" part of iPad Pro that you're experiencing. The speed is just part of the difference. Glad you are enjoying it!
