USB 3 speed on iPad Pro 10.5

Does the new 10.5 iPad get USB 3 speed only with the lightning cable that came with the iPad Pro 10.5 or it will get the speed with any old lightning cable ?

You have to buy a separate USB c to lightening cable and use the 29w plug that ships with the MacBook/MacBook Pros and which can also be sold separately. So pretty expensive, all in all. If you already have a 29w plug then it is more worthwhile - the lightening to USB C cable is £35 (I live in the UK so it might be cheaper state side).
