That particular website does indeed seem clickbaity, but rumors of 3 new models have been floating around in more reputable places as well. Supposedly the new 3rd model would be a 10.9" or thereabouts screen, on the same body size as the 9.7". So bezel-less.

It may in fact be accurate, but it feels odd to me for a few reasons. Rumor has been that the 2017 iPhone could be bezel-less for a long time now, but it would be uncharacteristic for a new design like that to hit the iPad before the iPhone. Also, a bezeless iPhone doesn't sacrifice much because people don't hold their phones by the bezel. An iPad, on the other hand, is almost always held by the sides.

That said.... a tweener iPad screen, bigger than the 9.7 but smaller than the 12.9, would be just about perfect for me, so...

If it is bezel less they might want to try it on an iPad first to see how it holds up. Plus with iPad sales down this might be something to bring sales up. Also it seems you can do anything to an iPhone and people will still buy it. An iPad is a different story.
