How long should I charge the new iPad Pro for?

I am getting my iPad Pro mini today. This will be my first iPad. How long should I charge it for when I first get it? Will I be able to turn it on and have it charge or should I leave it off for it to charge?

When I unpackaged my 9.7" iPad Pro and turned it on for the first time, the battery level was at 97%. it's possible that yours will be fully charged as well. Still, to answer your question, you simply charge the device until it reaches 100%. After that, unplug it.
