Yeah I got the exact same ESR case for my 12.9". The only thing I don't like about it is the back is plastic. Drop that on a hard surface and it's going to crack or shatter. I prefer a soft case, which is what I have now.

I've had an iPad every year since the first generation. I've never dropped one and if I do in a freak accident, I have apple care +. I don't buy a iPad case for drop protection. I buy it for scratch protection since it goes in my bag. I don't buy a case for my MacBook. I've never dropped that. My iPad isn't being slid in and out of my pocket all day like my phone. Different situation we are talking here.

Targus has good cases. I've gotten t one on my 1st gen 12.9" iPad Pro. Only bad thing is that it almost looks like you have two iPads stacked on top of each other.

That's how the speck case I bought was. Too thick. I returned that to Best Buy and bought the one in this thread.

That's how the speck case I bought was. Too thick. I returned that to Best Buy and bought the one in this thread.

I've kept it. Sometimes I'd knock it over in the truck. I'm glad it's thick.

All these cheap smart cases will crack on the corners when taking off, don't buy if you change cases.

I only ever buy 1 case. I don't change cases on ipads. But I decided to pop it out to see if that would be a problem after seeing your post. I don't see cracking being a problem on this case.

My $40 speck case cracked after 1 day and have to return it. From not even removing it. My $13 case is much more reliable and durable. Either way, I'm already ahead with this one. But hey, your the iPad case expert. I'm sure my case will break. *

I am using this Baseus below on my 10.5 so far so good but i haven't taken it off, had the same for my 9.7 and it cracked on corner after taking off twice and only a few months old when setting it up for my wife, still usable though, also have had a Rock case crack and both these brands are suppose to be on the better side of these cheaper type cases.

The Baseus below is good so far, nice feel, good magnets, stand works excellent, cant fault it just won't be taking it off
