How much wider is the 10.5 " iPad Pro?

Hi all, I'm considering upgrading from my 9.7" iPad Pro and have one thing in mind: I love to type with my thumbs holding my 9.7" iPad Pro, which was a real advantage over my old iPad 3. Will I still be able to do this or is the increase in width really noticeable?

How much wider is the 10.5 " iPad Pro?

Your current 9.7” iPad Pro is 6.6 inches wide. The new iPad Pro is 6.8 inches wide. It’s such a narrow difference that even if it’s slightly noticeable at first I’m sure you’ll get used to it.

5mm wider and 10mm taller. I came from a mini 4 to the 10.5. Right now I'm using the split keyboard to see if I can get used to that.

The length in portrait is where you notice it, especially if you read books that way.

The main reason i returned my 10.5 is i read a lot in portrait and it didn't feel as good compared to my 9.7" pro.
Also it had a terrible noisy clicky home button and the one on my pro is best i have ever had, smooth and can hardly hear it.
And its only 4 months old and didn't see the value at the moment.
