Gmail calendar not syncing

My sister in law received a brand new Mini 2 for her birthday and can't seem to get her gmail calendar synced on her iPad. She is not having any problems with her gmail email. I'd appreciate any suggestions! Thanks,,!

Is it a shared calendar? If so, have her go to this website on a computer:

http://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect

and select her iPad. The calendar will then sync on her iPad. (She'll only have to do this the one time.)

Also, in Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendar > Gmail > be sure Calendar is toggled on.
