Hey everybody! I'm thinking about getting an iPad mini soon, my question is, when you first buy it, do you have to pay for the first month's data service? Or can you buy an LTE iPad Mini without service and add it later? Thanks everyone!

If I'm not mistaken, I think you can because carriers offer month to month data plans for the iPad or at least they used to.

You can add it later. There's no requirement to buy a service when you purchase it. However you do need to ensure that you purchase a model that is compatible with the service you will be using.
