    Currently using IPAD Mini 4 wishing to send email of photo as JPEG not as a picture in the body of the email

    Hi, welcome to iMore.

    When sending a photo via mail, you will always see the picture(s) you're sending. However, the recipient will get those mails in jpeg as an attachment. And even, depending on their client, will be able to see previews of those pictures.

    I am still hoping that one day iOS will handle mail just 1/2 as good as my old Blackberry. It is a shortcoming
