YouTube on iPad Pro 2018

Is anyone else having issue while playing on full screen the top status bar won’t disappear?? Time, date , etc stay present

Saw this on reddit as well. The YouTube app for iOS has gone from working so-so to just being straight up garbage.

I’ll check on my iPad later today when I’m home. I’ve always disliked the YouTube app on iPad though. I just watch on my phone (best version of the app) or on my Apple TV.

My apologies. I simply viewed a video in full screen mode via the YouTube website. I didn’t know you were referring to the YouTube app. Sorry.

Do you have the new iPad pro aswell ? That would be helpful if you can check , I'm hopeful I don't have to do a factory reset

Can you post link to thread ? I would like to monitor the issue closely , as I pretty much use my iPad for youtube I would say 80 percent

Unfortunately no, but I did check on my Aid 2 and didn’t have any issues. If you’re using the new 11.5” that could be a reason. The 11.5” is a new screen size and apps will need to be updated for it.

It's the new 11 inch yeah , I asked because my fam has many ipads and the 2 or 3 I tested didn't have the issue , you may be correct and it's a matter of app updating hopefully
