Before spending money on expensive and sometimes questionable password keepers, look at Keepass, it's a free open source cross platform password manager that initially started as a fork of Bruce Schneier's PasswordSafe (the security expert) . It's been around forever, peer reviewed (afaik), actively developed, widely used by sysadmins in many organizations, and is very secure. As I said it's multi platform so I can use the same database (via Dropbox) on iPad, Windows, Android and Linux.
