Wondering if I am missing this or maybe it does not exist/apply to iPads. On iPhone you can check the Battery Health which gives you a quick glance as how the battery has aged in comparisson to day one.

Is there such thing for the iPad I mentioned in the tittle or is this something that a Tech has to find for me ??

Thanxs Folks and Happy Holidays !!

There is no battery health indicator on iPads, only an indicator as to which Apps use the most power.

If you search for ”ipad battery health” in the App Store, there are several options. Test a few and see which is most helpful.

I don’t think Apple allows third party Apps to access battery health information.

Then why is there a listing like this?

Since IOS 10, these Apps have not had access to the battery health. If you read some of the recent reviews you will see that fact reflected in the reviews.

Then the only way to check that is the Apple Store? That is not a good option for at least many Apple customers.

An Apple authorized reseller/repairer can also run a battery diagnostics test.

I don’t think Apple is worried about supporting 1st gen iPads at this point.

Probably not, but an earlier response says iPads don't have this feature. I take that to mean users cannot determine the battery health on any iPad, including the newest.

Not quite, on an earlier model such as iPad 2 running an earlier IOS, a third party App will show quite a lot of information regarding the battery. It is the new devices running IOS10 and up that prevent third party access to this information.
