Why doesnt the photstream match iphone/ipad?

My wife has a 6s, i just got her an iPad Air 2 for mothers day. set it up... but the photostream only goes back to like march 24th but on her phone it goes back to june 2015?

How can I get all those picture to show up for her?

"Photo Stream" maintains up to 1000 pics for no more than 30 days, after that, those pics are removed. In regard to the remaining pics, you can try enabling iCloud Photo Library on both devices. That should cause the pics to sync to her new iPad Air 2. I'm assuming she has plenty of storage space.

but her phone has photostream pics back to last June? neither has icloud photos enabled - because no, she doesnt have much storage space left on iclouds crappy 5gb

I think I will install OneDrive on Both for photos.. i have like 200gb there (and fyi, it works better than photostream ever did)
