Hey everybody, just took the next step in purchasing the Air 2 in addition to my 6. I set it up from my backup which is my first question. Is it normal for some apps to not work such as GMail? Also what else should I look for in the set up process? I'm sorry for the beginner questions, I'm trying to convert from another OS and I have truly appreciated the assistance the community has given me.

All the apps should work. I would try re-installing the Gmail app and signing in again to see if that solves the problem.

In the setup process, all of your mail, notes, contacts, calendar events, and Photo Stream should be on your device and synced onto your iPad from the backup.

If you did an iCloud restore then your correct passwords aren't saved.
