Personal pick up on launch

So read on a few sites that Apple may offer the personal pick up option on launch day- anyone else see or hear this?

I'm new to buying apple products on launch day... Does this mean we can wake up at 3am and order online to pick up later in the day instead of waking up at 3am to go wait in line

I ask just in case it means we order but still have to wait a week to pick up. Thank you

Yes the rumor is.. "Prospective buyers will be able to purchase the iPad Air online promptly at 12:01 a.m Pacific Time, and then choose the Personal Pickup option to go get it in store later that day."

Just a question about buying on D-1, is the stock planned to be constrained? Or will it be like iPhone 5c, no risks to buy it a few days later?

I don't remember at all the records for previous years.

I'm working 3rd shift Thursday night so this will be perfect for me when I get out of work and head down to the Apple Store.
