Copy and paste large text articles?

I'd like to copy and paste long papers online into a text app to save on the device. The saving part is easy but for some reason I can't find a way to easily select 60 pages of text, select all seems to disappear in safari and dragging through too many pages makes the select function crash. Is there a way to enable "select all" in safari or a 3rd party browser which supports it?

Here's one workaround: Save the article to Instapaper from the share sheet in Safari. Instapaper lets you copy or email full text, but you have to turn this feature on in the Instapaper settings. Hope that helps!
